Much ado about nothing
No, not a personal interpretation of the Shakespearean play. It’s just that I have ABSOLUTELY nothing to do today. Well, not NOTHING per se, but the lack of drive to perform any constructive task to fruition. I have not yet started work, though tuition is picking up its pace. It’s the exam period for my kids, so I figured that I should be the all-inspiring responsible tutor who is always there to motivate his kids towards excellence. Yea right.
See, the thing is, my friend woke me up with a rather blunt, yet strikingly true comment. Quote, “WHAT?? You are still gonna work your holidays away?? It’s going to be the last 3 months break that you’ll ever have in your life… Please at least do yourself a favour and enjoy just a wee bit. “
Well not exactly what she said, but close enough. And the point succintly put across. I’ve been working every single holiday that I’ve forgotten what I means to be a student already. But circumstance warrent it. It’s not like my parents are working, or that we have millions in reserve to spend as we desire. No. I’m pretty much self reliant apart from my university tuition fees.
In any case, I’ve decided to heed her advice and bum around at least for May, until I get my $400 from IPPT and my swollen toe subsides. But i’ve got a couple of agendas up my sleeve which are threatening to sound the alarm if I slacked to much. In order of priority:
1. Find an FYP supervisor (yes i know its long overdue)
2. Manage the Aca Nationals team and arrange 2 more songs…
